Thanks, Eric! I'm much more likely to try HootSuite now that I've seen your intro. I can see using it just to make following different Twitter feeds more easily, even if I don't want to coordinate message-sending...though as usual with some of these tools/toys, once I start playing with it, I find more things I'd like to do.
I love the hootsuite. It has a captivating style. I find that the windows tools seem to have a better or at least easier functionality than the apple only suites. While I like my Mac, the windows applications are those that fit the world in a better way!
